RETROFUTURISTIC NIKE AIR MAX 270

Sport meets street, cushion meets spring. When it dropped in 2018, the bold aesthetics and cutting-edge tech gave the Nike Air Max 270 futuristic feels. Look closer and you will see retro detailing too – the design inspiration came from two ’90s models of the Air Max collection: the Air Max 93 and the Air Max 180. The final product is here for men, women, and kids. Sporty, double-Swooshed kicks with bold silhouettes and striking colorways. The Air Max 270 is just as good for performance on the running track as it is for head-turning on the street. They are hybrid kicks done well. Really well.

THE AIR MAX 270 TRAMPOLINE EFFECT

Why ‘270’? Because the visible Air unit in the heel is mounted at 270 degrees – a 32-mm air bubble that creates a trampoline effect for extra spring, extra cushion and extra comfort. It hugs the back of the shoe and is the tallest cushion heel in the whole Air Max series to date. The shoe’s colorway dictates the color of the Air inside. High tech + fresh = Nike Air Max 270 trainers.

NIKE 270 AIR MAX DESIGN TECH

The deep air cushion brings the shock absorbency and spring, but there’s a lot more going on in the Nike Air Max 270. Nike built special grooves into the sides of the shoes that allow them to bend and flex in line with your feet’s movement for extra flexibility. The uppers have been crafted in uber-breathable materials to keep your feet cool and fresh even after a full day’s wear. The outsole is made of grippy rubber that is also abrasion-resistant, and there’s a rubber toe tip to help keep the shoes performing well on different types of terrain. Even the lacing system of the Nike Air Max 270 is innovative, designed to give a secure, lockdown feel. It’s all there, it’s all been thought out. The question for you is simple… you like the style, you can’t not like the features, but which colorway will it be?
